Our mission is to give direction & hope to the hopeless, through compassion; demonstrating God’s love and care by providing them resources to become self sufficient. Our focus is to rebuild the shattered lives of the broken and help others believe in their ability to change their lives.
Project Sixty One is an inner-city and homeless outreach program geared towards those in the Del Paso Heights & Greater Sacramento area. Based upon Isaiah 61:1, “The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me, for the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted and to proclaim that captives will be released and prisoners will be freed.” Project Sixty One started in 2005 when a small group of individuals from 2:FortyTwo begun to have a strong burden for the Del Paso Heights community. We started going out on the block to simply love on people, listen to their stories, pray with them, buy them food, and give them Bibles. This is what we continue to do as we attempt to show the love of Jesus; a love that has no agenda.
OUTREACHES:
Once a month organized BLOCK Outreaches:
Consists of going out to the Block of Del Paso Blvd. and ministering to the people on the streets, such as the prostitutes, drug addicts and dealers, alcoholics, and store front owners. We pass out Bibles and offer prayer and encourage to those we meet.
